Both are high latitude and ocean moderated with low precipitation totals relative to the cloudiness but Anchorage is colder year round with more snow, of course, but almost zero thunderstorms (once in a lifetime) while London sees a few each year.
I believe Anchorage is the only major city in the U.S. that will lose a climate battle against London in a poll. Is it because this forum is U.S. biased or London's low sunshine hours, limbo temperatures much of the year (not cold enough to snow but not warm either) and lack of weather of interest that is the problem?
Regardless, I am confident that London will win this battle so let's have a go at it!
