Speaking of yesterday... Check out the 24hour temp differences. It was 20-30 degrees warmer yesterday at this time in OH, PA & NY & New England.
Haha, Bridgeport the same for now, meanwhile just north of the CT coast its 10+ cooler today
More importantly....this.
this morning felt so good; house was still warm and muggy inside but could feel it clearing in a couple hours slowly by 8:30. Huge drop further north, not that dramatic along coast. No north-south temperature gradient or reverse gradient replaced by a typical cold spell fall gradient. Not going to last long...

I still get fascinated when I see how everything moves and waves a long. I don't know how or anyone I did it before computers.
Check out the loop and see this tiny piece of cool air hitting us, its in and out... But note at the end of the run (long range 10 days from now) a bigger airmass lurks in Canada with what seems to be could dig into Eastern U.S in 2 weeks from now.
First..... a still image... Focus on that white circled area and see how it moves in and rotates out. Then notice the Black line area towards end of run. Don't forget to see how the ridge pops in next week too.
Here's the loop. I know so much to look at. Maybe just focus on those dips rotating around the northern Lats of the Northern Hem for now? We need some more dips. It's fall for crying out loud! lol
Today offered some much needed relief from the heat and humidity. This morning was interesting as it was still warm, but dry with the northern airflow. Doesn't happy very often.
Dry, cool, and breezy conditions all day. Forecast low of 43 F/6 C tonight and a high of 68 F/20 C tomorrow. Should be another one of those gorgeous autumn days.
