Got a nice 2" coating on the ground now; had a really impressive band come through mid-afternoon. Band has settled over Holiday Valley; they must be ecstatic.
If it's an iceberg then it's actually a symptom of warmer temps and ice melt (which is necessary for catastrophic break-offs such as this one to occur) , not ice growth. This suggest that global warming could be responsible for this event leading me to believe that, given your denialist giewpoint, you made a mistake iin posting this.

yea, that's not a new glacier; that's a giant iceberg that calved of an ice shelf. While ice berg calving is normal, this one is especially big. Article says a big ice loss could weaken the shelve.
My answer: none of the above. Neither is cool for autumn.
