Ended up dropping to a low of 31° in Plum, PA this morning. First freeze . The high hit 66°, and it looks like we may dip into the low 40s tonight or 30s .
Wow! Didnt realize this now but 2017 saw the earliest occurence of first low below 60, longest span of nights above 60 was also very short... not shortest or close to it but short.
That's not too meaningful of a statistic, since lows below 60 can happen any time of year. It's sort of like if we hit 70 on New Year's it would be the earliest occurrence of a high in the 70s, but it also wouldn't be too spectacular.
Anyway, it was a beautiful day here, too, with a high in the low 80s and dews in the 50s. The next few days look to be near normal for highs and slightly above normal for lows.
