Love it.

Loop 3-6:45am this morning. You can see the northern Jet stream digging down and the storm off NC coast with the southern Jet stream...

You have a west flow over Pittsburgh and a south flow over NYC..

Could of been a nice snowstorm if it was mid winter with this setup. Nice to see happening though. Lets see if its the start of a trend!

7:25amEST map with temps. I don't mind being on the right side of the Jet stream but prefer to be in Dec-Jan-Feb instead. lol. Warm above normal morning here.

I love when the cold air merges with a coastal storm...So awesome to watch. Shiould change to snow for central NY and northern New England again if enough moisture around

**No snow chances for Eastern U.S next 10 days at least** only for Canada and some for northern tier u.s.

The cold is playing catch up with the moisture. Not the best senario for snowstorms.

Flashbacks of 2007-08 for me.

November will end up below normal but snow chances are lacking

Kind of annoying actually. I'm headed up to my camp again this weekend, and it was looking good for lake effect snows all weekend and early next week, but now I'm going to be happy if I even get a coating Sunday

This November has been below average which I like, but the lake effect snow machine has been lacking.

Thanks. Looks like the GFS shows 25F for Alexandria tomorrow morning! NWS LCH doubts it will get that low.

Thanksgiving day is looking very pleasant, but will start off on
the chilly side. Latest guidance is now showing upper 20`s
possible across parts of central Louisiana Thursday morning(with
the GFS going as low as 25 at Alexandria...which seems dubious).

Thus, a freeze warning may become necessary for central Louisiana.
Opted to hold off for the time being though as this seems to be a
considerable downward adjustment by most models and want to allow
the day shift to verify with a multi run consistency. Thus the
decision on the freeze warning will be made this afternoon.
Temperatures along the I-10 corridor are not expected to be as
cold although some patchy frost can`t be ruled out.

I am surprised how cool central Louisiana gets this early in the season! Is this very cold, or semi normal for you guys? That's not much warmer at night than here in western Pennsylvania, although your highs are way higher.

forgot to mention "lake effect". There's some in the works for Sunday morning but I don't think anything impressive. It's getting annoying for sure now, losing some time even though its not technically winter yet.

Don't get me wrong, there's "snowflake" chances for interior but nothing exciting as far as snow events next 10 days at least

Yeah, surprised given that we have the cold air coming down and the Lakes are torching warm. Maybe will pick up more in December?

November 2017: Below normal temps, below normal snowfall this month. Over 2 inches of rain here.
