St. Anthony is an uncommon climate. Winters are very cold but it rarely gets unlivable like Iqaluit, Yellowknife and Fairbanks. Summers are cool, and the climate is very wet, having 206 precipitation days a year. That combination of high precipitation and low temperatures in the winter is not very common, as a result, St. Anthony gets 543 cm (214 inches) of snow annually! I rate it a C, winters are too cold but summers and precipitation are really good!
An F. I have been to St. Anthony in summer and it was miserable with Temps hovering around the low teens C and heavy wind and rain. I can't imagine how bad it is in winter. On the plus side, people were very friendly.
Would be amazing if eastern Canada offered true maritime climates with warm summers... Halifax is close but its still too darn cold because it aint east enough. Wonder if things would be better if the Hudson bay was land allowing greater summer heat out that way.
