Fact is the only one of two places on planet earth cooling since 1950 is none other than the Southeast US with harsher and more extreme cold winters. Meanwhile Europe basks in warmth just about every winter except for this little blip of a cold wave. I want another 1963 in England.

Not the case in my part of the southeast. Had 7 dead winters in a row. Just Jan of this year was like our winters used to be back in the 80's. Oct, Nov and Dec was blazing above normal and so far this month will shatter the record books on dry and hot.

I for one would love to see more snowfall in Florida. Time for Orlando and Tampa city hall to allocate money for snow removal

I believe in this stuff too now. I never used to, but then I wasn't thinking logically then.

Not in my lifetime. Did once in 1977 back when we had real winters in the 70's and 80's.

Not a shocker for me, as i said the cold we see in the southeast is anomalous relative to previous periods. All it takes to know that is a looksee at the data.... glad we can say that now.

Maybe the winters of the 70s and 80s will return and possibly even colder. I wonder if Disney will shut down when the day time high gets to 30F and there is a foot of snow on the ground

No, but that relative to the rest of the planet since 1950 the SE US has been getting colder in winter and spring. The data shows it. Read the article. When was the record low of 12F recorded in London? The record lows in the SE are all from 1985. Bout time London got another 12F. Same for Nice. Wish Nice would hit 15F.
