I was trying to find some photos of Hall Beach and the Melville Peninsula and I stumbled upon this Flickr stream from a geologist who did research there 40 years ago. Makes for an interesting read--including getting the helicopter grounded by a summer snowstorm.

You’re right about the rocks. Those pics of the area show only rocks.

No pics of the “beach” but I imagine not too good for swimming
