I don't know the mechanics of it, but having lived and worked on the Pilbara coast, and using Aussie vernacular, yes indeed, the wind blows it's ring out day and night right along the Pilbara coastline, most notably during the winter months. Then of course during the period of high sun, the region is the most Cyclone prone in Australia. I think that project site is about half way between Broome and Port Hedland.
