I took some pictures from the garden today. It's tomato season!
Zucchini seems to be enjoying the heat of the asphalt. Seems to be compensating for the SVB that have been living in their stem for over a month. Okra behind them.
These brassicas somehow managed not to bolt.
First time trying to grow roselle, it's starting to shape up really nicely.
Went exploring a local ravine, including a lot of bushwacking.
Walking on fallen trees because it was the only way to traverse the dense brambles. Pictured: brambles below me
Dog's POV - she had to stay behind a bit because she's not good at climbing trees and couldn't get through the undergrowth.
A bit of hint of fall colours but I suspect a lot of that is also due to the dry growing season we've had (only around 40mm of rain per month vs 75mm average).
Sumacs are showing colour too.
Most trees are still green though.
Monarchs are still here.
Who can guess what this is?
Right now is Jerusalem Artichoke (aka Sunchoke) season
A nearby orchard
Some of the Virginia Creepers are in full red colour (others are still totally green)
Also wild grape season
