I wish the Bellingham airport still measured snowfall. We've had roughly 10 inches downtown (almost all in one week in December), which is about three times the average for this point in winter.

I didn't realize the anomalies were so hyperlocalized to Buffalo with the other major snowbelt cities of Lake Ontario and Erie being considerably below average.

Yeah pretty crazy! East side of the lakes are above normal. Although surprised Muskegon is -10" below norm.

Too bad Watertown doesn't report with NWS but we can probably find a local observer there if we looked for it?

We got more snow!

Memph house
as of 01/13/2022 11pm

October: 0"
November: 1.5"
December: 2.0"
January: 2.0"

Season: 5.5"

Normal for the whole season would be 30-35" so still rather light... Normal for season to date would be about 12".

Where do you get your numbers from; self recorded from your yard with a snow board or something, or an online source?

Nice! Finally, how sad is that season total there. Even I usually have more than that down here by now

Top 30 Snowiest Locations through January 21st, 2023

Surprised?

Half these sites are close or more than 2 feet above normal! I didn't think it was snowing that much anywhere. Hahaha

Valentine Nebraska has 46.2" for the season, that's +31.7" above normal

Flagstaff Arizona has 82.0", that's +39.1" above normal.

Even the usual snowy places are well above normal.

2 sites from Nebraska on here
2 from South Dakota
3 Michigan
3 Wyoming
4 Minnesota

Caribou, Buffalo, and South Bend only ones on here for Ohio Valley/Northeast

You now need 3 feet of snow to get on this list
