Very sunny day today with temperatures overshooting the forecast to a high of 5C.

That has resulted in the first bloom of the season in my garden. I thought they wouldn't open until tomorrow's snow melted (which might've been as much as a week from now).

Decided to go for a walk to the lake and around the neighbourhood.

Day lilies are pushing a decent amount of growth in ditches and other places where the ground was thawed longer.

One of my neighbour's yards is looking very nice now. Is this witch hazel?

Their winter aconites are in full bloom (snow drops also blooming but too far from the street to get a good photo).
