Two areas of a Portuguese connection: one along the equatorial West African coast, and the other within the Iberian Peninsula. Which would you choose and why?

100% Portugal. I grew up in a Mediterranean climate, and for me that’s ideal.

To be honest, your thread is actually how I found out that there was a Lagos in Portugal — the Nigerian Lagos was more familar to me due to the larger population, so seeing your thread is what gave me the idea for this battle.

Would love to live in Lagos, Portugal. That's a B+ climate. Lagos, Nigeria more like a D or D-

Just realized that I voted "Lagos, Nigeria" by mistake.

I meant to keep away from the poll a long while not only to avoid bias, but also to resolve indecision. For instance, I do enjoy warm subtropical and tropical climates in general, but my concern with the Nigerian Lagos was that the tropical (aw) dry season was a bit too intense (read "hot and dry") for the given amount of wet season precip. On the other hand, the Portuguese Lagos has good duration of pleasant temps focused on the warm season, but the cool season errs too chilly for my ideal, and I dislike the low rainfall just as with many other med (csa) climates.
