Thanks. What was bad about it? I heard about the sunbed Olympics at 8 AM there, but it's January so I doubt anyone will be at the beach, especially since it's an upwelling current around the islands. We were deciding between Morocco and Tenerife, and settled on there since the flight was a bit cheaper and a much bigger choice of homestays. As for food, as long as the usual staples are there, and the Goya products complete with olive oil

It takes 5 hours to get there, we flew down in a standard plane and my ass was so sore afterwards.

Its only worth it if you are going there in the winter because theres nowhere else to goto but if you were to head to Spain it would be a much shorter two hour flight. The island is small with not much to do but drink and the beaches are stoned so sore to walk on.

If you like markets it is your place as that is basically at that is there.

Tbh I don't see any point in going somewhere that is only an hour or two further than America that has little amenities and crappy beaches.

Mid January. Supposed to be high 60s, low 70s when we get there. Not bad for being surrounded by cool water in January, I think. I'm not gonna be walking around in shorts, but no jacket at least lol

Standard plane like a little Ryanair regional jet? I've only flown on those from Harrisburg to Charlotte to connect for my flight to Gatwick airport. We only fly those for sub 2 hour flights usually. The planes from Harrisburg to Orlando are A320s, sometimes the Embraers or Canadair Regionals. The plane I fly from Harrisburg to Toronto is a Beechcraft 1900. Talk about loud and uncomfortable midair.

Yeah we're going in January. Everywhere else is too cold and drizzled out. If it was the summertime, I'd rather have gone to Valencia. Course, most of the reason we're going is because it's my turn to go there this time, so instead of going to Puerto Rico like we usually do, gotta make do with Tenerife. 84-87 degrees vs 68-72 in January. Oh well, much better than the endless cloud and drizzle of an English winter

Cause I'm gonna be in England in January. Flying from my area to Honolulu takes about 11 hours and costs almost the same as flying to Heathrow. $200 more and I can fly to Seoul or Tokyo. Hawaii ain't worth it for a beach vacation
