In Spain they are about 30 years behind us. They had shrines of mary everywhere it was so random, like you'd just be driving and see a mary statue, we don't even have that on the island of Ireland. Then they close all shops at lunch time (which is so inconveniant), close shops on Sunday and do not open them. Buildings are awful.
When we arrived my mum said "watch your bags, I think people are watching us"
There were loads of black people and beggars. They had stalls with people trying to sell us cheap grappy guess bags. Like honestly do they think we are that thick? We actually have Guess stuff in this country for real and we know when they are doing counterfit.
Their country roads were like rubble.
There are shrines to Mary everywhere in Malta too, it is a Catholic country. How does that make a place 'slummy' ?? (And I thought you & your family were Catholic?)
And as for the shops closing at lunchtime, that is a Mediterranean thing. Places close for a few hours for siesta, it is the hottest part of the day, so people can go home & rest somewhere in the shade. It is the same in Malta, many shops close between 1pm & 4pm (even at this time of the year), as the saying goes 'Mad Dogs & Englishmen (or Irishmen) go out in the midday sun'
And does N.I not have any black people ffs?!? How does a place having black people there have a negative impact anyway?!? That is an extremely racist viewpoint to have
I honestly don't know how you are allowed to continually post such offensive comments...
