I think this dress i not only a waste of money it only looks to be worth about $4k max in my book.
It's a silly example of exuberance in it's worse form.
I give it a 6/10 rating for looks.
When you factor in the cost, I'd give it a 1/10 global rating.
My question is that if the dress had fake pearls and looked exactly the same, how many of you would think this dress is the bomb???

I'd be jsut as happy with a homemade, inexpensive wedding dress and no jewelry. I've never owned a piece of expensive jewelry nor a designer garment. That doesn't mean I don't think the dress is beautiful. I coldn't care less whether the pearls are fake or real.

Pretty, but highly impractical. You have to take it off for the reception anyway. Imagine if the flower girl spilled her Kool-Aid on it, or if your groom did the smushy-cake-in-the-face thing and messed it up.
It is jewelry, and a work of art. I suspect it will end up in a museum.
The young woman wearing it is not a model. She is a world champion figure skater.
I personally think it is gorgeous.
