I just bought 2 gifts for 2 different weddings off of registries, and I was wondering if the brides check out what has been purchased or do you wait for the shower/wedding? I know I would like the surprise, but I'm sure my husband would have checked every day.

My daughter has been checking so she can keep the other registries updated and hopefully limit duplicates. She will still be surprised as to who actually gave her the gift.

I just got a wedding planning book from The Knot and it says to update your registry as the wedding date gets closer...so I'm guessing most couples do.
