It is really not "their decision alone to make." Generally parents are asked who they would like to be invited. But in this instance, my son originally decided to invite only 2 of my many cousins (2 that he had remained closer to through the years), but on my recent visit back to my hometown, a sibling of those two said something that made me realize she assumed she would be invited. So that's what started this.

You ask if he was invited to all of my cousins' weddings....well, yes, but that was a generation ago, when he was a child, and my children were included in the wedding invitations I got from my cousins. I don't think that has any bearing on his wedding decades later.

And as I said in a previous post, we worked out our decision. Just wanted to address your questions.
