Is there a tradition of the groomsmen "stealing the bride" or the bridesmaids "stealing the groom" by taking her/him to a local bar during wedding receptions in your area?

I'm from Wisconsin and I've never even heard of this.

Now, I did attend a wedding where the bride and groom (just out of high school) left between the church & the reception to "start their wedding night". Both sets of parents were irate as no one know what had happened to the wedding couple & everyone was starting to get worried (and it also held up the wedding dinner by an hour or two). But that is a different thread.
