I don't know if not parking near the "richer" stores is going to help.. I heard in the news not long ago about a woman being raped in a WalMart parking lot while her toddler was in the car seeing it all. Keep your head up, your eyes open, pay attention to what's going on around you and valet park whenever you can.

Dont be a target. Unfortunately any single woman loading her children and shopping bags will be a target just due to the amount of time she will be busy and situated alone at her car. Look around alot and be aware of your surroundings. This could happen anywhere

Valet park is not always safe either !! In Panama City Beach this last winter a renter
had the security guard walk her to her condo and he raped her and threw her over
the balcony. After investigation -- seems the condo assoc. never did a background
check on him !!!! Scary !!!!!

I'm going to close this thread. It is getting old, and the sad subject happened over a year and a half ago.
