my husband and i are moving from az to fl in january and need an AFFORDABLE and reputable moving company...we have little money but we also have no help so we can't use a pod or anything because i am disaabled and cannot carry anything and we have noone to help load a truck

we have checked out starving students, as we used them for a local move and they were fine....we used another company for a move from ny to az but they were pricy and we can't afford them

thanks for any suggestions. We need to figure out if we can even afford to do this move and may be stuck in AZ.

Well when I came I had my car shipped and just brought what could be put in there. Then buy new furniture here that is cheaper or some places offer furnished. It is not ideal but I have not seen many affordable moving companies

Yeah, we had about 1800 sqft worth of furniture and it was 2000 from WI. We used a small local guy though...

I have used multiple companies because I was going back and forth not from FL but Ca. It depends so much how much they charge time of year, from where to where, economy. The best tip I have when using a company is to get a copy that they are insured. Also that the company you called is the one transporting your car. The one time I did not and they had another company take my car they damaged my car and would not pay. No one was accountable.

Hey Nankjay,
My husband and I are moving from So Cal to Fl and after a lot of research, we're thinking we'll hire ABF U Move. You can pack either a trailer or 'Relo Cubes'. They'll drive it out for ya.

But it does depend on what furniture you have and want to keep. We have personal items that are quite large so need to pack something besides driving the car out. But everyone is different.

As for unloading etc, you can find help for that on craigslist or even the self moving people can offer companies for that, too.

Hope that helps and good luck with your move!
