Me and my wife were looking to buy a house in a west boca community but we are not very familiar with the area.

The first house we saw was in Sonata at Mission Bay and the neighborhood seem a bit abandoned with weed all over and no one around.

Does anyone know it that was just a bad day or it's just like that always?

Do you have any lower price community zoned for West Boca high to suggest?

Thanks much

No its usually like that...I know mission bay very well we lived in Boca Falls now in Central Boca..Mission bay has alot of different price points..You could look at Boca Chase that might be less than Mission Bay..Also look into Boca Winds....Are you in need of Schools? and what is your price range?

We were looking for a house zoned for West Boca High between 300-350k with 4 beds. Mission Bay seemed like one of the only options on that price range.

Meadow Lakes not so good..know people in there crappy part of boca...if your max is 350k u should look in Boca Falls there are homes in your price range...if your looking for HS my son left West Boca HS and is now in Spanish River and we couldnt be happier...
Good Luck to you..Boca Chase is NOT zoned for West Boca..If u go to Boca Executive Realty - Boca Raton Real Estate - Florida Real Estate you can find a home in that school area...its a great resource.

We absoultely agree Flgrammie which is one of the main reasons we moved from West Boca to Central Boca where we live now...My daughter will attend Omni and My son is a Sophmore at the HS and wow is all I can say..We are very impressed with the school..My son is an average student but did not feel challenged at West Boca there were other things too but This is the happiest we have seen him Ever...

Wanted to respond b/c I read this website daily last winter and we bought a house in Sonata/Mission Bay this June. Our dd is at Sandpiper and we are liking both the neighborhood and the school.

I find Sonata to be overall very well maintained - did you see a foreclosure home maybe?? There are a lot of kids - grade school through high school in the neighborhood.

I just happened to notice a really nice home is on the market in the Cordova section - listing right at $350....
