We are a family of 8 (2 parents 6 kids) looking to relocate to Florida. We currently are looking to spend between 1500-2200 max. Looking for a nice neighborhood, good schools, preferably gated communites but isn't a must. Prefer not to be directly on the coast so some where Central would be good.

We are completely new here and not even sure where to start. Some of the areas that we have thought to look in include Boca Raton, Kissimmee, Windermere, Jupiter and surrounding areas. However, after looking at prices Boca Raton is definitely out unless there is an area that I don't know about. If you know of an area that can offer what we are looking for please offer input. We want to avoid high crime rate areas. Please also list any good school districts/counties. What area do you recommend?

Employment is not an issue because we both work online so our job can move with us.

Thank you for any help or feedback.

For a house that big you're going to be looking at the higher end of your price range.

I'm assuming you want good schools and at least four bedrooms? Check out Palm City and Hobe Sound, which are smallish towns in Martin County (one county north of Palm Beach)..... which gets you safe, good school district, and a couple options in that price range.

In Palm Beach County, you can get a 4 bedroom townhome in Abacoa for about 2200/month. Also, a few listings in Lake Charleston in Western Lake Worth, and a few in Wellington. Both areas have good schools.

TriMT7 made a good suggestion for you in Palm City. It is in Martin County and you definitely get more for your $$ than further south. It is safe, conveniently located and all the schools are great, so there are lots of families.
