Hi Jono,

My gut tells me no, there are no more bonfires on the beaches.

That's a shame, that was one of my favorite things to do when I was attending college in San Francisco. I'm a social chair for a business fraternity here and thought that'd be a fun event. Thanks for the reply!

In fact, county deputies are staking out the parks to ensure this doesn't happen. Don't do it. Arrestable offense.

Doubt you will find any area that allows this in SO FLA- part of the reason being sea turtle nesting season on the beaches from March 1 to Nov.

I read that St. Joe's Beach allows bonfires; in fact all of Gulf County near the panhandle allow dogs and bonfires; when a fire ban is not ordered.

A little north of your target area, but Lake Worth holds bonfires on alternating Friday nights, I believe.

Lake Worth beach has a few left scheduled for this year. They are a great time:

Bonfires On The Beach:

January 14 & 28 and February 11 & 25, 2011

Bonfires run from 7:00 to 10:00pm and most of the Beach shops and restaurants are open for your convenience.
