My family and I are possibly moving to the area at some point in the next year. I have vacationed by the beaches many times but have not been in land. Many people have said the mosquitos and bugs are out of control in Florida. Is this true? If so how far does the problem spand (example big problem west of 95)?

Mosquitoes are really only an issue during the summer months on a whole and how bad depends on the rain totals, but they spray for them often with Helicopters and trucks with on board foggers. That being said if you go out in the summer months after dusk without repellent for a long time, your going to get hit if the area you live in is not being treated especially will be bad.

Still doesn't stop them all. I live in Wellington which is west of 441 and we have our share of bugs around the house the geckos, anoles frogs and toads help control some of the bugs but overall the bugs are no worse then what you see elsewhere during the warm summer months. As long as you treat your grass and follow pest control the only thing you will have to worry about is mosquitoes and/or no-see-ums.

I've seen an iguana in Wellington once, but I saw quite a few in Delray. I see more Raccoons than anything else.

About 8 years ago, a neighbor in NE Broward had a garden. She couldn't figure out what was eating her arugula....then one day she saw an iguana. But it wasn't one of those giant ones that you see in news freezing and dropping from trees.
