is there a lots of snow fall in Northwest of WV(like Wetzel or Marshall county ) in winters ?
and what is the maximum temperature in Summers (NW of WV ) ? more than 100F ?
Winters: A couple of substantial snows (6"+) each winter, several moderate snowfalls in the 2-6" range. Highs will usually be in the 30s, with lows in the teens to mid-20s. Very seldom will the temperature drop below 10 above.
Summers: Highs will usually range from the upper 70s to the upper 80s. Very seldom will it get into the 90s, and highs of 95 or higher are almost unheard of. Summers can be, however, pretty humid.
Snow of any real acculmulation is above 2,000 ft. elevation.... Most of the lowland is at 800/1200 ft.
Artic winds when driven southward pick up moisture from Lake Erie and give us hell.
Most of the winter air flow is NNE from the gulf along the Mississippi/Ohio River Basin and is warm enough to come as rain. If it collides with those artic winds, the storms are usually driven to NY and Maine.
Winter proper sets in about January 10th and last until the 3rd week of February...this for the lower elevations. The high country has it's own set of rules.
Summer this year was a disapointment. No 100* days, very few in the 90's...mostly in the 80's with almost no humidity...and we have had a lot of rain for this summer.
So much for the Global Warming...didn't happen here..

What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.
