That vaccine cost a lot of rubles...has no shelf life to speak of...flu epidemic is moderate to low in seriousness.

The health providers are paying for the vaccine and need $25.00 per shot to recover their costs.

So far it looks like a loser...most people are getting the regular flu shot and letting the Hiny pass.

Call it a shot in the a$$....or pocketbook...the rush to provide that vaccine made it very expensive.

3 to 5 Billion, but that's a drop in the bucket to us any more...

The state of emergency lets the govt bypass some rules... thus further concentrating power inside the Beltway.

It means the ministry is interfering at Hogwarts!!! That and Obama had to do something to get the media on something other than him trying to ban Fox.

NY tried that with heath care providers and a judge said "NO!".

I hear a lot of parents locally saying they are going to refuse to send their children to school until this is over. A lot are also refusing to allow their children to get the vaccine. The woman in Huntington who stole the vaccine was a sign that folks are losing it over this!

It will be interesting to see what local attendance rates are like on Monday. I will be callling my kids Dr. on Monday to see if I can get a medical excuse to cover the days they've missed because of having the flu. He asked me not to bring them in unless they showed signs of it going into their lungs. No lung problems, so I don't know if I'll get the excuse or not.

I know some counties are relaxing their attendance policies but so far, Doddridge isn't one of them.

Nice "stimulas" package for the drug companies and insurance companies?

I wonder if Obama, his wife and kids have taken their flu shot.

Marshall has made all absences excused if you're suffering from flu-like symptoms. No doctors excuse required. One of my professors is pregnant and she is obviously very adamant about not coming if you're sick.

To be honest, all I'm doing is washing my hands more often, taking vitamin C & A, and carrying around hand sanitizer sprays. I'm not worried at all about catching whatever comes around.
