What is that teaching? Is that what is taught in Ivy League schools these days? Lol.

Again, you are not thinking of a child's life. About play dates after school, ballet , karate, music lessons. Etc. you are setting them up to live double lives. They can't make "out of school " friends with classmates, because they don't live in the area. Don't you think quite possibly they will be teased as the "poor" kids from Poughkeepsie?

You are asking a lot of children you don't have. Maybe the wiser adult decision would be for you to move into chappaqua and commute to Poughkeepsie. Roughly the same commute for chappaqua residents to Manhattan.
Maybe I’m reading the OP’s post wrong but it seemed like he was asking if his commute would be reasonable if he lived in Chappaqua and commuted to Poughkeepsie for work. This is a win for his kids since they will be in a better school system and a win for his wife for when she has to go into the office for work. It’s a larger burden for him since he’ll have the longer commute but it seems like he is trying to be a good future dad in putting everyone else’s wellbeing ahead of his.

Touche' lol it's the holiday and I am "enjoying" myself. Although OP never said anything about buying in chappaqua.
I apologize to the OP. It's the margaritas not me! Lol.
It he is going to live there it's entirely different.
Good luck OP. But remember first you got to make em, on buy em!

Thanks @Dabaomb- yes that is what I was referring to
No worries for the confusion, I would plan on living there for the school districts. This comes up as my wife and I are planning to buy a house but decided to hold off until after kids (no point in paying property taxes if we are not going to use the school districts) Hoping this autonomous driving thing takes off soon

I appreciate the advice and if any other school districts come to mind- keep me posted!
