Would like to purchase a co-op in New Rochelle. I currently live in NYC and don't have a car. I need access to a good supermarket within walking distance. Any suggestions?

Hi -- New Rochelle is a small city. A quick Zillow search shows dozens and dozens of co-op listings all over the lower half of the city. Can you be more precise?
Also, you will find living in Westchester, even a city like NR, to be quite challenging and limiting without a car. Just the reality.
Actually New Rochelle without a car is probably one of the best towns in Westchester with no vehicle. Sidewalks are everywhere, and if you live near North Avenue, no matter which direction, everything is walkable. There are grocery stores like ShopRite and local establishments as well.

Agree with this. However, for someone from the city, I would say that it would be a significant step down in walkability. Most of Westchester is horrible without a car, New Rochelle is merely bad, which makes it the most walkable.
How big of a place do you need and do you need any amenities? If you need nothing fancy, 1-2 beds, then you can get a cheap co-op, 5 minutes away from MetroNorth and within walking distance of everything anyone will ever need (supermarket, pharmacy, gym, library, park, movie theater, bowling, restaurants, etc.) for under 200K in downtown New Rochelle. Look around New Roc city. Off Main St. There's also a free shuttle that takes you around downtown. You don't need a car.
And now New Rochelle has that free Circuit tram so you can expand your circle. The Stop and Shop is okay, the Shop-Rite is good, the Acme on the other side of town is sub-par, but you also have a Costco downtown and New Rochelle Farms on North Avenue
