ADT or home security systems Murphy area (house, companies)

Wondering if anyone has home wired for a security system in the outer Murphy area. It's a bit isolated and I was curious if anyone could recommend some kind of alarm system, other than getting a big dog. I already have a small one, but I'd like the house protected when we are away too.

Of course for a bit more change you can get some wireless camera's and monitor using your iPad or iPhone.

I'm looking into a DIY system that can record to a cloud and alert me through my cell or iPad. I don't have much faith in companies that are only reliable for a monthly bill. However, in some area's you may need to be hardwired.

Have you bought yet? Were you the one asking about internet or IP coverage. If you haven't bought yet, you might want to relook the isolation thing.

But Murphy folks are good people and unless there is something new going on, you should be OK.

But tradition is to keep a shotgun either over the fireplace or by the front door. only half way jesting.
