I am looking to move from Central FL to Sparta, NC. My daughter lives up there at this time. My ex-husband was born and raised up there and currently lives there. I was wondering what kind of jobs are available. I heard that "everyone" is moving up there. My reasons are due to the high homeowners insurance rates and taxes going up. And it seems like everyone is hauling butt out of FL. Thanks to the hurricanes!! I would really like to experience the season change and raise my other daughters in a place where I feel safe. Is anyone currently living in Sparta that has made the "big city" jump to a "little town"? I am very hesitant about the job market. I don't care about living in a trailer or apartment, just as long as my kids are happy.
