OP: Shoji has lots of virtues, but it is more of the "rustic" persuasion than the "luxurious". The only good hang-out spots are the private tubs. This is great if you are IN the tubs, but you won't want to be hanging around outside the tubs in December. Shoji has no indoor lounge area.
