It is great to see more lodging in Hendersonville and more development along Upward Road.

I do not reside in Henderson County, North Carolina, and I have seen many changes there over many years through countless visits. I remember when there was nothing on Upward Road until 20 years ago.

^^^ Maybe so, but touting growth is "great" when you don't experience the effects of the 'growth' on a daily basis, does not set well with some locals including natives and those who have lived here for years and don't want this beautiful land and views spoiled by big city high rises. There is no beauty in corporate greed.

Growth in Henderson County, specifically in the city of Hendersonville, is inevitable. I am a proponent of smart growth that maximizes a site rather than sprawl expansively and maintains beautiful views.

This is so true. The more people who move here more development is inevitable.
