Now, I am someone who absolutely adores a simple small community. I do almost anything I can to escape my everyday life in the city and I am someone who roams all over the state visiting small towns on my spare time, but this is one place I havent been to yet, i was half tempted to jump in my car this afternoon and have a look for myself but I didnt, soon though.

COOKSVILLE - No one knows for sure when the Cooksville General Store was built, but 1846 is as a good guess as any.
What's certain, though, is that the little store has had more than nine lives.
It's believed to be the oldest continuously open rural general store in the state.

Saw the article in Country Living Magazine Aug/Sept 2011 about Cooksville General Store. Would love to see it!
