I came to AZ because of better winter weather and economy, but my children miss snow and friends. However, I need a job before coming back, job that can raise a family of 5 and pay all the taxes.
I owned a remodeling business for 20 years, worked in the nuclear power plants across the country, and have been a VP of an financial services company.
The City of Elkhorn has pics of projects that I remodeled on their web site

I can show you before and after pics. With all these credentials, I can't get a job anywhere, I mean ANYWHERE!
Is it a matter of over qualified? I've been out of work for almost 4 years and have sold everything I have. Any suggestions?
P.S. I have submitted 1000's of resumes, done all the on-line stuff, interviews, still nothing.

Not what you want to hear, but most employers now seem to only want to meet with people who are already living in the area. Just saying you want to move back isn't enough for them anymore. I know several people who are wanting or needing to change States, but aren't having any luck long-distance. Once they move, they find jobs fairly quickly, especially those with extensive experience as you have.

Good luck to you and your family. There is nothing worse than hating where you live.
