It means many things in many different arenas. A specialist in the field basically works to find the right job for the right employee with the right employer and runs the gamut of multinational corporations seeking highly qualified applicants with expertise in the particular field to smaller companies who utilize the services to sift out those not even remotely qualified for open positions.

In TVSG's case, he works for a non-profit organization which finds employment for high-risk applicants seeking to enter the job market with minimal to no qualifications. Ex-cons, juvenile offenders with a GED or less - basically those who are trying to legitimately make it but are thwarted by their either bad or sparse employment history, lack of education, incarceration record and/or other factors which place them under the social services umbrella. A worthy cause indeed but one whose funding is being cut back on in many municipalities throughout the US and indeed throughout the world.

Guess every city is different, although I've never heard of 35 hours being considered full-time.
I've never worked anywhere that wasn't 9 to 5 (or equivalent) with an hour for lunch.

Until I read your full post, sounded like ex politicians should fall into his domain, too. (LOL!)

Funding cut. Wasn't that what you were speculating about a couple months ago? And you were also upset that you didn't receive a year end bonus while your clients got vouchers or something to buy Christmas dinner.
Funding cut.
PA's state budget is in the ditch, haven't you been paying attention?

Back to the original premise of this thread: with your new hours how many times have you been late this week?

None because I want to continue to see cash flowing in my account every other Thursday.

Grasshopper, do you simply not pay any attention to what's going on in the political arena right under your nose? Your Governor, Tom Corbett, is pushing through major legislation to significantly reduce the state's financial burden. And, guess what, if those cuts come about they're going to affect you.

How on earth you manage to get from a to b simply confuses me.

Which response in a way simply proves my point. Sigh.
