Had my first day today. I like the people, but am feeling somewhat overwhelmed. Hopefully that's normal!

Yes, of course it's normal. You're learning a ton of new stuff. After a few weeks, you'll be just fine. Hang in there!

I agree.

When you start a new job you want to do your best but feel like you can't do anything because you're taking on all this new knowledge about the environment. This is normal and your boss knows this. In some short time, you'll find your groove and feel satisfied once again. Good luck!

Always so darn glad it's over!

I genuinely HATE first day's on a new job! As a consultant for 30+ years, there have been many... but regardless of where it is or for what company, I still dread the first day at any given assignment. After that, the sailing is smooth.

Congratulations and good luck to you... I'm sure you'll do very well... after all, you've already made it through the worst part!

Default Congratulations

First days are always difficult. Think back to the anticipation you felt on your first day of school or your first date. You will be fine. Congratulations
