So I just received this rejection email for a position I applied for:

Thank you for your interest in the XXX Product Manager, Advertising XXX New York, NY position. While you meet the basic requirements for the position, we are currently considering other candidates who more closely match the criteria for this position. We will contact you directly if you are matched to the position in the future.

Ummm what basic requirements? Do you mean all of the requirements you listed in your job posting because I darn sure met all of those! And what makes you think if I wasn't "matched" for this position now, I will be "matched" in the future. Lol maybe it went to someone in house as usual. Gotta love whoever writes these rejection emails and job hunting

Yes, that was poorly worded, and misleading. How would anyone match better in the future without an updated resume?
