I talked to the union and those jerks won't give me a withdrawal without paying off my initation fees. I have $70 left, and I have some money coming in to pay for the initation fees. If it's ten or twenty or thirty dollars I will just pay off. But if its 40 dollars or more I think it could be a waste of my money. I left my job on good terms, and I could go back to work for Vons or Albertsons again in the future. And Im not going to work for them again if I have to pay initation fees again.
Is it true that I have to pay off my initiation fees to get a withdrawal card?
Yes you do. That was part of the deal when you were hired with them. I worked for a union store and they clearly told me that I had to join the union in order to work there. So yes, pay the 70 bucks and get it over with. Is 70 bucks really worth leaving your company in bad standing for??
