No idea about the job, though I expect it pays well, but is hard work. Nothing wrong with that in theory, though it depends upon your physical health and limitations, of course.
As for Halliburton... they have a lousy reputation in many circles with everything from no-bid contracts in Iraq to being involved in the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion that killed a bunch of people. This isn't to say that the whole company is like that, or that other companies don't have similar problems, but I wouldn't consider them an example of good ethics.
