i kind of got pushed into the job. this job is a temp job, long term(18 month) assignment. now before i got this job im at now, i temped with the same company.
now i have a job now, but i wanted to get another job because i want to make more more more and save it for a major purchase in the next 2 years.
at the same time i dont want to go to a place im going to dislike, even though this assignment id be making more then my prior assignment.
You're supposed to go into work TODAY and you're asking whether you should go or not because you might possibly maybe perhaps get another job you'd like better? Words fail and I'm sorry that I can be of no help whatsoever in solving your dilemma.

yes. it starts later today.
i have been waffling back and forth.
i like the money, but ive been at this place before and didnt like it. granted, im in a new department, but its the same politics that i hated.
i think i could find a job at another company, be it temp, part time, etc. anyways which is why im not sure.
Now I see from a thread you started just four days ago on exactly the same subject that you actually have a full time job working from home and that this temporary assignment will be a huge help to you financially. I don't understand why you've (a) waited until the last minute to decide whether or not to show up and (b) why you're even asking the question when all the posters on the other thread advised you to take the position. If you're waiting for a thunderbolt to come down on you and deliver an epiphany, best not to rely on it.
I don't know how large your employment pool is locally or how big this company is but accepting a job and not showing up is a huge mistake which could come back and bite you big time.
PS: Your post crossed with mine but I've nothing else to add except do what you feel like doing. It doesn't sound as though anyone else's opinion really means much to you anyway. Good luck!
