There are laws and guidelines regarding internships meant to guarantee it is a form of mentorship and not exploitation.
I used to be against big government but when people and corporations behave this deplorably regulation is the only solution.
Keeping people as temps for years to avoid employer laws is an abusive.
Having an intern and using them as labor and not giving them mentorship is abusive.
That is govt's role in capitalism to stop abuse.
