I was once fired for being "too expensive". I renegotiated and kept my job. I knew that I was overpaid, but rode it out. Win some, win some!

Some people are fired for being a poor fit for the job. That isn't their fault but the fault of the hiring manager for making that hire and these people are usually eligible for rehire since they may perform well in other positions.

Not really a stretch; I was canned by a dirtbag and after he was fired his boss called to see if I would consider coming back.

I'm not into revolving doors.
