To those who are best buy managers, I'm sorry to hear this news.

To BB managers, have they told you if you're one of the unlucky ones?

Maybe if BB would stop jacking prices up and go back to how they were in their infancy, when prices were good, they'd be able to not fire 1000s of people. Just another reason not to shop there.

yeah, not surprising. Best buy sucks. I remember back in the day when i used to shop there a lot, but then they jacked up their prices and their sales sucked.

They'll go the way of Circuit city, Compusa soon enough

Best Buy is good for going in there to find the model you want. Then buy it somewhere else online

OK this may belong on the Business forum, but they never thought of exclusive models, you can't buy anywhere else. Not the store managers fault, but top executives'.

I have to say after buying a dishwasher and a freezer from them, they have the best prices and service on appliances, beating both Home Depot and Lowe's hands down on price, and with people there that actually know their products,
and delivery in 2 days. Both of the others had no one that knew anything about the products, and had to order everything for several weeks later at a higher price. I think they are getting beat on TVs and computers, which is has been their bread and butter in the past.

I will admit, I purchased my washer and dryer there...Best Buy price beat the others (Home Depot, Sears, Lowe's) on the same model by at least $150 and they had free delivery. Having said that, it is a good thing that I did all of my own research and knew EXACTLY what model I was going to purchase because the actual purchasing experience was excruciating. The sales girl was maybe 21 years old and on her third day on the job and totally clueless.

The only 2 items I got from BB turned out to be defective returns that were repackaged as new. In both cases they did not, and I later found out they could not stand behind the product. Did you know that the larger companies that are carried by BB have a deal set up to provide BB with all the new empty packaging they need to rebox returns as new?

They have always been the cheapest, or will match prices. I have never had a problem with them. Really awful news.
