Just had a department meeting to discuss work issues and ideas, employee imput.

So it seems, like always, the senior employees get a kick at chuckling when someone voices a concern or idea, as if it is ok to be disrespectful.

Dont share your voice, like seniors staff does, and nothing will change.

Speak up for a better way to be productive, or to make work better for us, it gets shot down, and i get made fun of. How immature can people be? And the manager just sits there, and lets it happen.

So , how do you put people on notice, without appearing aggressive? This just upset me, a gang bullying enviorment, while management and HR just sits there smiling.

I plan on throwing this in my managers and HRs face, do not require me to attend some propaganda meeting, disguised as an open forum. You guys sit there as professionals, and have no control of how the meeting was run.

This was a mandatory meeting, calling me in early to participate.come in to get chopped up by staff? Then i get to work the rest of the day, sulking over this BS.

I'd just send a send a group email and be blunt with them. Odds are, other employees feel the same way.

The OP is just venting, as is common these days on this subsection of the forum.

I doubt the OP has any intentions of carrying through with the fire and brimstone routine of throwing it in the manager's and HR's faces. The OP isn't really looking for any advice per se, but just an opportunity to air out the anger and hostility from the job to this forum (and forum members offering advice OP doesn't like).

And, of course, those of us that always give the most realistic advice in these types of "can't win" situations, go look for another job, will be mocked and insulted for it. Even though a work environment where the managers allow bullying is an environment where an employee will rarely if ever 'win.' A manager doesn't become a manager without some cunning, and HR is always there to protect that manager. I've witnessed it many times in my over 20 year career in my industry, so it's not like I'm pulling things out of my rear end.

I always played the game, worked my butt off, and stayed away from the drama and nonsense, and served me well to this day. And if I felt disrespected, I simply looked for another job. Too easy.
