Buy a scooter, or "Run Forest, Run!" Your problem, not the employer's.

***Update Time***

So for this job I have an 80 mile round trip commute. It is killer on me and killer on my car. So out of faith I applied for one job, not thinking that I was going to get it. Well I was called in for a interview, interviewed with the supervisor and offered the job. I got a 16k offer over what I currently make with the chance of becoming salary within the next 12 months. As well as a 20 minute commute in traffic!!! 10 minute in no traffic. Well somehow my current job found out that I was moving to a competitor and I get a call from the number 3 guy in my office begging me to stay. I was flattered and already talked it over with my family (mostly my mom and step-dad) but the commute was just to much for me to take anything they were offering me.

I wantd to update you guys because you were so helpful when I needed it. THX.

Yes indeed!

Don't forget to send a nice note to your former supervisor thanking him/her for being a good manager (or whatever seems appropriate), that your reason for moving on was the commute.

Never burn bridges.
