Looking for a job? My employer is always hiring and whether you want this to be short term or long term is up to you. It's armed security work (lots of standing, ID checks, etc) on a government contract and while it's not glamorous it pays decently. Training is a month long in Virginia at minimum wage and once you pass training (it comes down to the gun range) you're on the contract in DC making about $27-28 per hour with an additional $4/hour going towards healthcare or, if you opt out due to existing insurance, towards a 401K (not matched). There are also opportunities for quarterly bonuses of $250-1500 depending on clearance level and other things. It's a lot of standing, sometimes out in bad weather, but you will most likely end up with a government clearance and some decent work experience. What are the qualifications?
1) Must have served in the US military (and be in good standing) OR have a 4 year college degree
2) Be a US citizen
3) Have no criminal record
Whether you stay for 20 years or 20 days is up to you. People come and go all the time. I'm a current employee and have been there for a little over 4 years. If interested in knowing more feel free to contact me.
