I know it causes great angst waiting for an answer. The possibility does exist that you don't get any of these three jobs, so honestly, I think you should continue looking. It will keep you busy and keep your mind off of getting a phone call or email.
Well, well. The company I was supposed to do a 2nd round interview on Monday was rescheduled to today.
How did it go? AMAZING.
Interestingly, out of the three I am in line for interviews/offers, they were at the bottom. After they discussed more of the role in detail, man o man it's at number 1 for me now.
Well I was interviewing with the hiring manager, and we just hit it off. He told me that if someone put a gun to his head that he would hire me on the spot. That in his mind I have a start date. He told me this search has been going on for months now, and the candidates were no good as they were missing some key qualities that he was looking for, that I evidently have. He then told me that I literally BLEW away any candidate that they had talked to previously. So he wants me to come in for a third round interview next week in person.
So I think that one is looking GOOD! I know I don't have it, but I feel at this point it is probably mine to lose.

I was NOT expecting the bolded after that vivid recap you gave us, lol...
If I were in your position, I would have personally felt extremely deflated after being given that sales speech only to hear that I must still go through more interviews.

Well I knew beforehand it's three rounds. It's through a third party recruiter.
So the first round was with the third party recruiter, that loved me for the role and she then sent my resume to the hiring manager. The hiring manager loved my resume and had me scheduled for the phone interview right away. So technically today was the hiring manager's first time meeting with me.
So this one was a phone interview? It sounds great and I hope you get it. I always tell people to be cautiously optimistic because we've seen threads here where people have gotten similar feedback and then they're not hired.
Good luck next week and I hope you're able to report good news.
