There's tons of them out there. They all usually have the same description and usually, pretty easy to spot.
It's always something along the lines of:

Is there a name for these types of companies? They all appear too good to be true, and when you actually look at a picture of the "awesome sales team", most of them are wide eyed, disheveled looking kids with poor fitting suits and bad haircuts.
Street marketing/canvassing or door to door sales rackets.

They can use all of the warm bodies they can get to help them push out their crap to gullible people.
Since they're not paying you until the unlikely time in which you sell their crap, they'll "hire" just about anyone.
