There are several options that would take note, but most likely payroll would either A. cut you a check right then and there, or B. make you wait until the next pay period and then add it on.

What are the other options?
- ignore it, Top Ramen is pretty filling if you eat two packs at a time
- curl up in a fetal position and cry
- sue
- quit and then sue
- complain to HR
- complain to HR, quit, and sue
- file a complaint with the Labor Board

This is essentially why I asked. People would react/respond in different manners.
And probably 99% would just ask their manager or payroll.
This is obvious, the context of the question did not intend to make this the asking point. Let me extend this question, what would you do if your manager and/or payroll replied to you that they will include it on the next pay period, you will get paid, but not for another 2 weeks?

Not really. My post was a joke.
If I were living paycheck to paycheck and need the money asap then I would insist on getting paid right away. If I can wait until the next paycheck, I'd do so.
This happened to me once in the past, Payroll simply cancel the existing paycheck and issue me a new one. I'm not sure if it's a cause for great discussions.
